From a rainfall point of view Horseshoe Lake is a quite normal spot; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. A pleasant site to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Pioneer Trails Camp, and after a long day outdoors Kimmell Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Horseshoe       Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Horseshoe Lake through the winter frequently drop into the 10's. Piper Branch is a gorgeous stream that is worth checking out, and if you need a site to stay Fisherman Cove Resort is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Forest Ridge Park if you're here at                  Horseshoe Lake, and not far from Horseshoe Lake you'll come across Baugher Lake which is a picturesque lake. Crooked Lake Golf Course is a golf course in close proximity to Horseshoe Lake, and Horseshoe Lake is not far at all from Kendallville.
