This lake is so wonderful. Near Hermit Lake you come across a golf course called Oak Knoll Golf Club, and Hermit Lake is not the only place close by, Hidden Lake is a close by lake. But wait, there's more to do close to Hermit Lake. Hermit Lake gets a typical       amount of rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hermit Lake has to offer, you can camp at Emerald Trails; after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Merrillville is a nice place to spend a night or two. At Hermit Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's.
