At Grimes Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Grimes Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Wildwood Lake is a great lake right next door to Grimes Lake; dry warm beds await       you at French Lick Springs Hotel. A pretty lake like Tucker Lake right next door to Grimes Lake is a good place to stop at, and why not visit nearby Cane Branch since you're here at Grimes Lake. Grimes Lake is a pretty wet place usually with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing                  at Paoli Peaks since you're here, and Mane Trails is a perfect local campground.
