Bogard Creek flows through this region; scenic scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Paoli Peaks. English Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's so much to do here at Grant Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Horseshoe Bend Marina and Camp is a tremendous spot for that. High temperatures at Grant Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs all through the winter

| | are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Grant Lake are in the 10's. A delightful place for whitewater paddling right next door to Grant Lake is Potato Run, and if you get bored of Grant Lake you could also explore nearby English Water Supply Dam.

return back home again. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue River, and Grant Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Mane Trails is a perfect local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. English Golf Course is a magnificent golf course nearby; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Carefree is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Grant Lake generally gets a large amount of rainfall; the
wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest.

We have both primitive campsites and campsites with electric and water. We have stalls for those persons who wish to bring their horses. Our campground has trails that connect to the Hoosier National Forest Springs Valley Trails. These trails are multi-use by horses, non-motorized bikes and hikers. We have an indoor arena available to our campers. We have showers. We will be installing a dump station this year. We have trail tags for the Hoosier National Forest for sale on our property. We take reservations in advance and also make our campground available exclusively for groups.... |

I have only been skiing once my boy-friend family invited me and him to go to Perfect North for a weekend and I leanred how to ski from him. I had a blast and well we are thinking about coming here to see how the slops are. I hope that I have as much fun here as I did there....Nice and friendly local ski hill right here in Indiana. Paoli Peaks is basically your typical local Indiana ski area. Mostly easy runs.... |

I think the DNR should do something about the way the area around the boat ramp is filling in with soil. During the hot summer months when the pool stage is low it makes it nearly impossible to launch your boat. Maybe it could be dredged out. Also the road leading to the lake is in dire need of improvement. Now for the good news this is one of the best kept secrets in our neighborhood. This lake produces fish year round. I can always rely on being able to catch some whether it is bass or bluegill. All in all this is a good lake that deserves a little attention and tender love and care and could be a great place to fish.... |
