A wonderful close by hotel is Quality Inn Hammond, and a scenic lake like Wolf Lake is a perfect site to check out. Spend the day on the beach at Munson Beach since you're here at Lake George. Super 8 Motel - Hammond North/Chicago is a delightful place to get some rest, and time spent at Calumet Park Beach is always perfect. If       only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Lake George is good enough to spend more than a day at, All Seasons Campground is a good local campground, and while you're here you can play some golf at Burnham Woods Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. in close proximity to Lake George you'll hit upon a wooded neighborhood called Eggers Woods; if you came to camp Emerald Trails is a magnificent place to do that.                  During the summer months at Lake George highs are generally in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. During the winter highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Lake George dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
