This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Davis Lake, and if you came to camp Cottonwood Campground is a pleasant place to do that. The yearly rain here at Engle Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is       August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Engle Lake is a location with many visitors from Kendallville. For the period of the months of summer at Engle Lake highs are generally in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Engle Lake are in the 10's.
