A glorious nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Huntington, and if you come at the right time of year, Wabash River offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Rock Creek; Camp Timer Lake is a fine local campground. Not far from Clair Lake, you'll come across Huntington College Lake which is a picturesque lake, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a sight of at Huntington College Lake Dam right next door to Clair Lake.
