Butts Lake is not the only site nearby, Norton Lake is a nearby lake, and get drenched paddling on Christiana Creek. At Butts Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Butts Lake fall into the 10's. Butts Lake       is a good site of normal rainfall; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Camping at Twin Pines Mobile Home Park is always a good experience, and if you need a place to stay Ramada Inn Goshen is a great choice. At Butts Lake you always meet someone from Elkhart-Goshen, and Butts Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Elkhart County 4-h Fairgrounds is a great local campground.                  There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Butts Lake. A day on the slopes of Swiss Valley is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful.
