There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Burnside Pit. Summertime highs at Burnside Pit regularly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Burnside Pit temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Burnside Pit is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Fairland       Recreation Park is a brilliant local campground; during your journey here you'll meet some people from Columbus for sure. From a rainfall point of view Burnside Pit is a pretty normal spot; through July this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. If you came to camp Redbud Acres Campgrounds is a great place to do that, and as expected Foreman Branch flows through this vicinity. Super 8 Motel - Shelbyville is a splendid                  location to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Clifty Creek - Fall Fork.
