After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express HOWE (STURGIS, MI) is a delightful site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Buck Lake has to       offer, you can camp at Riverside Campgrounds. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Buck Lake reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Buck Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Buck Creek is a great spot to take a look at; near Buck Lake you hit upon a golf course called Heron Creek Golf                  Club Golf Course. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. The friendly people of Kendallville like to hang out nearby.
