This lake is so wonderful. The Silver Hills here at Bowen Lake makes the scenery here splendid; camping is available at Ashmoore Campground. A lake nearby is Big Bass Lake, and there's some interesting stuff to spot at Bowen Lake Dam in close proximity to Bowen Lake. Through the warmest time of the year at Bowen       Lake highs are mostly in the 80's; the night is a little cooler of course, generally in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Bowen Lake. So many amusing things to do at Bowen Lake, so little time. Bowen Lake is not the only location close by, Schlamm Lake is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Scottsburg is a nice spot to spend a night or two. This lake                  is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Scottsburg is a good choice, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Ohio River. There are plenty of folks from Scottsburg here at Bowen Lake, and Oak Knob is uncomplicated to spot from Bowen Lake.
