After a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Elkhart North is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and you can hit       the slopes at Swiss Valley in the vicinity. The annual rainfall here at Boot Lake is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at Boot Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Boot Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get                  your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Christiana Creek, and Boot Lake is not the only location nearby, Christiana Lake is a nearby lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Boot Lake has to offer, you can camp at Elkhart Campground, of course you could also check out Simonton Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. An afternoon playing golf at Four Lakes Country Club is always a bliss.
