Pike Lake
I really enjoyed it more as a child (I'm 64), but it IS a very nice place now....

Sechrist Lake
This is a clear lake with great recreation. It's connected to the Barbee chain....

Sherburn Lake
Even though some lakes as Sherburn, Heron, etc. are surrounded by private property the water is still owned by the state and the public should have access to all these waters for fishing hunting etc. some owners feel they have the right to keep you off these lakes and because I pay taxes I feel I should be able to access any lake without the hassel of surrounding owners.I am persuing the laws to these issues....

Robinson Lake
I would like to see a map of the lake and the hunting bounderies!...

Goshen Dam Pond
14 miles away
Went fishing there today with my Dad. Heard lots of stories of Goshen and the dam fishing history....

Yellow Creek Lake
14 miles away
I can remember when I was a little girl and my best friend's parents had a place on Yellow Creek Lake (Harold and Alice Brooks).  It was the best time in my life.  I often wonder if she still visits the lake. (soupgurl@msn.com)...We LOVE our weekends at Yellow Creek Lake....

River City Campground and Music

Rivercity Camp and Music Campground is a great Christain camp ground, there's fishing, seasonal, and daily camping, fullhook up camping, cabin., Jam session every Friday evening during the summer months, with local talent. Every Sat.Night a scheduled singing group comes in. There's great food available and good fellowship..A great place to feel the blessings of the Lord!! Ron, and Sharron Frazier own and opperate this facility and are GREAT SINGERS in their own right, as they too travel in th winter months singing between Indiana, to Florida....

Old Lake
16 miles away
Quiet fishing lake.  It is small.  Houses on only 1/2 the lake.  Lots of wildlife activity...

Loon Lake
17 miles away
My grandparents owned a cottage there. They were Lee and Flo David. They used to tell of a doctor that lived in the cabin before him whose wife disappeared. The FBI dug up all around the cabin looking for a body. Which side of Loon Lake did your relatives live on? The 'old' side, or the 'new'. We were on the old side....Slow down, enjoy the view....The residents of the south side of Loon Lake, Whitley Co., IN seem more intent upon having old people and nursing moms of small infants pulled over for speeding just a few miles over the unreasonable speed limit of 20 MPH than doing something about the drug abuse issue that runs rampant at night into the wee hours of the morning up and down that very road. The drugs and alcohol and corruption happen at night when darkness hinders the thrill of having the visual pleasure of yet another handsome yard finial like a police speed checkpoint to make their yards seem all the more greener in the afternoon sun. Stop nabbing innocent folks on their way into town for petty speed issues and go after the real problem that plagues Loon Lake....

Diamond Lake
19 miles away
Are you unable to swim there as of June, 2009 ?...I think it stinks that you cant go swimming there anymore. I used to love that as a kid....The lake is pretty and clear sometimes, our girl lives there...

I recently visited Goss Grocery at Big Lake.  Is would like to buy a sweatshirt or Tshirt with Big Lake Resort on it.  I grew up on Goss Rd., daughter of Jerry Clifton.  The Lake looked great!!!...
