Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend McCormick's Creek; fine water scenery is available at Bethal Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Bethal Lake. Bloomington Travelodge is a delightful site to get some rest, and lots of folks from Bedford come here. This lake is so wonderful. Bethal Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Grove Camp Ground is a tremendous       local campground. The high level of rain makes Bethal Lake a pretty wet spot; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. During the warm months at Bethal Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bethal Lake. This is no site for                  people who don’t like to have a good time. There's some flowing water close by, Buck Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay, and Danny Burr Hollow is a brilliant place to go to. There are some good whitewater spots on Gulletts Creek, and Bethal Lake is not the only spot close by, University Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also have a look at Griffy Reservoir while you're here at Bethal Lake; it's close by. There's so much to do here at Bethal Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wheeler Mission Campground is a splendid location for that.
