Amy Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; January is when it's the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mill Creek. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. One of the governing marks of the surroundings of Amy Lake is Shumaker       Hill, and get covered with water paddling on McCormick's Creek. Nearby lakes? Sure, J Lake is in the vicinity of Amy Lake; Best Western Martinsville Inn is a nice site to get some rest. Baker's Echo Lake is a tremendous campground nearby; an exciting thing to stop at near Amy Lake is Amy Lake Dam. For the period of the warm months at Amy Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the winter                  are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Amy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes.
