If you came for an overnight stay Hickory Hills Campground is a magnificent site to camp, and don't forget to take a great little visit to Little Mill Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Amazon Lake a wet location; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month       is January. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Amazon Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and the night is rather colder of course, mostly in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Amazon Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn Cloverdale, Greencastle is a delightful spot to get some rest, as expected you could also visit Ralph Ketchum Lake if you're here; it's                  not far at all. Do stop by Amazon Lake Dam if you're here at Amazon Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Pine Woods Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. At Amazon Lake you always meet someone from Bloomington, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Mill Creek. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Amazon Lake.
