Summer brings highs in the 80's to Weingardt Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Weingardt Pond. Weingardt Pond is not the only place close by, Wiggins Slough is a close by lake, and there are plenty of people from Springfield here. You can run the rapids of Sangamon right next door to Weingardt       Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Best RV Park and Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and golf can be played at Rail Golf Club. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Weingardt Pond has it all. If you need a place to stay Northfield Inn And Suites is a glorious choice, and if you get bored of Weingardt Pond you could also visit close by Mud Lake. Take a side tour to Fancy Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited North                  Springfield.
