There's some flowing water nearby, Carr Creek is a stream you can go to while here, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn ST. LOUIS-SOUTH COUNTY CENTER is a perfect choice. During the summertime months at Waddle Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Waddle Lake through the wintertime usually dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping

| | is available at Cahokia RV Parque, and you can run the rapids of Mississippi River. Not far from Waddle Lake, you'll stumble on Porter Lake which is a beautiful lake, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Hidden Valley.
Playing golf is lots of fun at River Lakes Golf Course; Holiday Inn ST. LOUIS-SOUTH (I-55) is a brilliant spot to get some rest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Saunders Lake, and do put some | |

time aside to spend at Terry Spring while you're here at Waddle Lake. Waddle Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest.
You'll wish for more
hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Waddle Lake. There are plenty of folks from St. Louis here at Waddle Lake; why not camp at St. Louis South RV Park if you're here at Waddle Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

Cahokia RV Parque

We spent a couple of nights at the Cahokia RV Parque recently and we were very satisfied. The location is off of a main road (IL 3) which makes it noisy, but easily accessible. The park is very close to downtown STL; about 5 miles. It is in a commercial area, close to East St. Louis, but we felt secure and comfortable. Though small and tightly spaced like most city RV parks, it is well kept. The only two complaints we had was the lack of cable TV and free WiFi. Though the park does have WiFi, there is a daily charge. Service was excellent, and the people were very helpful, courteous and accommodating. We were at first hesitant based on a previous review, but was surprised to be greeted and helped by some of the best parks staffers I have met. We looked at two other RV parks in the STL downtown area, and Cahokia Parque was easily the best. I would highly recommend this park to anyone travelling to or through St. Louis.... |
