The yearly rain here at Upper Stump Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Upper Stump Lake there are plenty of people from St. Louis. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Saint Charles       is a good choice, and what would a location like Upper Stump Lake be without interesting nearby marks like Goat Cliff. Don't leave Upper Stump Lake without first paying a visit to Twin Springs, and if you came to camp Deer Hollow Ranch is a wonderful location to do that. From Upper Stump Lake you get a great view of McAdams Peak, needless to say you could also stop by Long Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Upper Stump Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sundermeier Rv & Boat Storage is a brilliant site for that, and there's some flowing water nearby, Metz Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here. High temperatures at Upper Stump Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
