     Hampton Inn Quincy is a good site to get some rest, and Distillery Hollow is a perfect place to spend some time. If you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn/Quincy is a splendid choice, and camping at Valley View Mobile Home Park is always a fine experience. Summertime highs at Twin Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights  
   at Twin Lake are in the 10's. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Twin Lake. Not far from Twin Lake, you'll discover Big Lake which is a pretty lake; a pleasant location to camp here at Twin Lake is Bayview Campers Park.
While you're here at Twin Lake you can play some golf at Westview Golf Course, and Fall Creek is a great whitewater spot close by. An average amount of precipitation falls at Twin Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and February
 
               on the other hand is the driest. Looking for some flowing water? Try Mill Creek, and there are plenty of people from Quincy here.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Turtle Lake is close by, and you can run the rapids of Cedar Creek. This lake is so wonderful.

In response to keith's note. I've kayaked Cedar Creek several times. During heavy rain events the creek is VERY wild. And while yes it is bony, it's a fun ride.. especially since it's one of the only places to get above a class II ride around quincy. Additionally, DO NOT go to bear creek unless you plan on doing some flat water near where it meets the mississippi river. Any further upstream and you'll be dealing with hostile landowners who aren't aware of the navigability laws in illinois. You'll probably be met by a sherrif on the take out. See uploaded picture of cedar creek a couple of years ago....
