This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Boulder Campground is a tremendous location to do that, and enjoy a round of golf at Carlyle Lake Golf Club. Little York Branch is a good site to stop at; a good nearby hotel is Best Western U. S. Inn. There's just no way someone can get bored here       at Townsend Lake. A pretty lake like Hog Lake close to Townsend Lake is a magnificent place to check out, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Carlyle is a splendid choice. There is a magnificent hiking trail in the vicinity of Townsend Lake called the Chipmunk Trail, and why not explore a swamp like Big Swan Lake since you're here at Townsend Lake. Lake Joy Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's near Townsend Lake. From a precipitation point of view                  Townsend Lake is a rather common location; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Townsend Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
