This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Des Plaines offers some perfect       whitewater, and there's always Bull Frog Lake Dam to stop by close to Tomahawk Slough. While you're here at Tomahawk Slough, you could also visit striking Bull Frog Lake; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Burr Ridge is a good site to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more to do close to Tomahawk Slough. There's so much to do here at Tomahawk Slough that you need to camp here for a while, Windy City Campground is a pleasant place for that, and                  Flagg Creek Golf Course Restaurant is a golf course nearby. Just can't get enough of Tomahawk Slough. This lake is so wonderful. Saganashkee Slough is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and a wonderful close by hotel is Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Four Lakes, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Villa Olivia. Columbia Woods is worth visiting, and swamps don’t sound that pleasant but Cramer Slough close to Tomahawk Slough is pretty pleasant. For the duration of the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Tomahawk Slough, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Tomahawk Slough drop into the 10's.
