In Illinois there are many beautiful lakes, Timber Lake is one of them. Timber Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Alfred Keil is a great local campground; going for a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Timber Lake Dam is a pretty spot close to Timber Lake, and hiking along the Tamarack View Trail is pleasant fun. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area

| | right next door to Timber Lake has to offer. Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is a great local ski area, and close to Timber Lake you locate a golf course called Wynstone Golf Club.

This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Timber Lake that you need to camp here for a while, E Z Go is a pleasant site for that, and if you
need a site to stay Days Inn is a delightful choice. During the months of summer at Timber Lake highs are mostly in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the
20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Timber Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. The yearly precipitation here at Timber Lake is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
