An average amount of precipitation falls at Thunderbird Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not visit Lake Killarney near Thunderbird Lake, and the Leather Leaf Bog Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Wilmot mountain is pleasant; dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn.       A day on the slopes of Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is just what you need, and a golf course close by is Prairie Isle Golf Club. Thunderbird Lake really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Mchenry is a splendid choice, and camping at Thunderbird Lake is delightful fun, Fox Valley Camp Ground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Thunderbird Lake is                  a magnificent spot to camp, Pistakee Fishing Club is a magnificent spot, and Thunderbird Lake is right by the Lake Defiance Trail. People from Whitewater love to come to Thunderbird Lake, and a day at Indian Trail Beach is time well spent. There are some great whitewater spots on White River, and there's great hiking along the Fox River Trail. At Thunderbird Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
