    Starved Rock Pool is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Bailey Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot near Starved Rock Pool; dry warm beds await you at Grand Bear Lodge & Vac Villas. There's so much to do here at Starved Rock Pool that you need to camp here for a while, Utica Koa Kampground is a great place for that; there's some flowing water close by, Clark Run is a stream you can stop by while here. After a long day outdoors Grizzly  
   Jack's Grand Bear Resort is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Parkmans Plain is a perfect place to stretch your legs a bit.
This lake is so wonderful. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling close to Starved Rock Pool is Vermilion River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Starved Rock Pool; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Yeah, come here to Starved Rock Pool for a perfect time. Stay the night at Lasalle/Peru KOA; not far from Starved Rock Pool you acquire some pleasant water scenery at Starved Rock Lock and Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Starved Rock Pool without first checking out Horseshoe Bend, and you might also want to pay a visit to Aurora Canyon while you're here at Starved Rock Pool. During the warmest time of the year here at Starved Rock Pool, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Starved Rock Pool temperatures plunge to the 10's.
