From a rainfall point of view Spring Lake is a reasonably common location; through May this area sees the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. This is a magnificent vicinity for people who like lakes. Canteen Lake is a lake in close proximity. There's so much to do here at Spring Lake that you need to       camp here for a while, Casino Queen RV Park is a good location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Spring Lake there are plenty of folks from St. Louis, and Spring Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lakeside Camping is a great local campground. If the weather is delightful, you get a pleasant view of Monks Mound from Spring Lake; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. Canteen Creek is near Spring Lake and is always a delight                  to have a look at. High temperatures at Spring Lake through the summer months are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Spring Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Any time is a good time at Spring Lake if you love the outdoors.
