The amount of precipitation that falls at South Pool is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Villa Olivia while you're here; if you need a place to stay Days Inn Elk Grove Village is a nice choice.       This lake is so wonderful. Take a little visit to West Branch Salt Creek since you're here at South Pool, and Busse Forest North is a great forest vicinity nearby. South Dam on Salt Creek is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. There's so much to do here at South Pool that you need to camp here for a while, E Z Go is a wonderful place for that. You're probably into lakes, Busse Lake is one of those close by, and while you're here and you like golf,                  you can go to Fox Run Golf Links. High temperatures at South Pool through the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, typically in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at South Pool drop into the 0's. Be careful coming to South Pool, you might not ever wanna return home again. A glorious site like Elk Pasture here at South Pool is too tremendous to miss. You'll need more than a day to look at everything South Pool has to offer, you can camp at Green River Oaks. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Marriott Chicago Schaumburg. Lakes are great; Lake Cosman is a lake that's in close proximity to South Pool. Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations close to South Pool that are good to go to.
