South Pool is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Fox Run Golf Links not far from South Pool, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Villa Olivia is pretty near. Four Lakes is a delightful local ski area, and camping at E Z Go is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn Elk Grove Village is a nice place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Busse Woods Reservoir is close at hand. So much entertaining stuff to do at South Pool, so little time. Take some time to check out Busse Forest North if you're here, and not far from South Pool you'll hit upon Busse Lake which is a pretty lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at South Pool; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Throughout the warm days of
summer at South Pool temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to South Pool. Some
of the water close by flows, like West Branch Salt Creek; South Pool is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Green River Oaks is a glorious local campground.
Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is a very splendid place to visit close to South Pool.
