     Fiftyninth Street Beach is close to South Lagoon if you're in a beach type of mood; you're sure to encounter some nice people from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet here. South Lagoon is a good spot of common rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. So many entertaining things to do at South Lagoon, so little time. After a long day outdoors Ramada Lake Shore Chicago is a glorious spot  
   to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of South Lagoon, West Lagoon is nearby.
If you need a location to stay Beadle Inn is a nice choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Windy City Campground is a nice site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at South Lagoon, do take a visit to Columbia Basin, and if you want to hit the beach, Jackson Park Beach is nearby. Throughout the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at
 
               South Lagoon. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at South Lagoon.
South Lagoon is not the only spot close by, East Lagoon is a close by lake, and if you want a little side journey, try Madison Park Shoal.

While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen.
