You'll meet a lot of people from Quincy here, and there are other places here than Snyder Lake, for example Twin Lake. Mill Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and get drenched paddling on Fall Creek. Summertime highs at Snyder Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Snyder Lake. Whitewater paddling is tremendous

| | on Cedar Creek; why not camp at Valley View Mobile Home Park if you're here at Snyder Lake. Yeah, come here to Snyder Lake for a great time. Americas Best Value Inn/Quincy is a wonderful place to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Bayview Campers Park is a great location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Course is a fine way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Distillery Hollow is a magnificent place to visit close by, and not far from Snyder Lake you'll find Turtle Lake which is a gorgeous lake. An average amount of
precipitation falls at Snyder Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.

Cedar Creek
 | 1 PHOTO In response to keith's note. I've kayaked Cedar Creek several times. During heavy rain events the creek is VERY wild. And while yes it is bony, it's a fun ride.. especially since it's one of the only places to get above a class II ride around quincy. Additionally, DO NOT go to bear creek unless you plan on doing some flat water near where it meets the mississippi river. Any further upstream and you'll be dealing with hostile landowners who aren't aware of the navigability laws in illinois. You'll probably be met by a sherrif on the take out.
