If you are in this part of Illinois make sure to pay a visit to Snockey Pond. Blue Spring Hollow is a fine site to discover; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Harrisburg. If you came to camp Williams Hill Pass OHV Park is a nice location to do that, and if you come at the right time of year, Bear Branch offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the River to River Trail is wonderful fun, and the scenery at Glen O Jones Lake

A lake nearby is Berkel Lake; soar down the rapids of Lusk Creek in a kayak. Through the summer here at Snockey Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Snockey Pond. Camping at Pine Ridge Campground is always a magnificent experience.

folks of Harrisburg like to hang out nearby, naturally you could also visit Parker Lakes while you're here; it's not far at all. Cave Hill is clearly visible from Snockey Pond, and since you're here, you could go to Rocky Branch.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area close to Snockey Pond has to offer. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Beaver Trail, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Harrisburg is a
great place to spend a night or two.
Snockey Pond usually gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls during May; January on the other hand is the driest.
