     The beauty of Sims Pond attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Sims Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Oak Ridge Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and nearby you hit upon the Deer Run Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Some nearby water includes Walker Branch, and an exciting thing to stop by near Sims Pond is Sims Pond Dam. Sims Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most  
   of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is January.
High temperatures at Sims Pond all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, generally in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Sims Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fall Creek; if
 
               you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn By Marriott Quincy is a fine choice. Any time is a great time at Sims Pond if you like the outdoors. While you're here at Sims Pond, you could also visit wonderful Harrell Lake South; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Prairie Bluff Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Harrell Lake North is a nearby lake that you could pop by; the Crabapple Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Stay the night at Pine Grove Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn QUINCY.
