Silver Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Stay the night at Cool Creek Resort, and Silver Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery. At Silver Lake all through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's; night lows at Silver Lake during the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 10's. A nice nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Mascoutah.

Silver Lake is a good location of typical rain; May is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Mick's Lake is a glorious campground nearby; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Highland Silver Lake.
