There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Silver Lake. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pike River; hiking along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. The Tamarack View Trail offers hiking       at its best; you can stay the night at Old Port Cove Marina. At Silver Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Silver Lake during the wintertime frequently plunge into the 0's. Silver Lake is right by the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail, and you'll stumble on a charming lake called Loon Lake. This is a popular place for folks                  from Racine, and the scenery at Lake Shangri La Dam is stunning. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing). This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Antioch Golf Club is always a diversion. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fox River Recreation. An average amount of rain falls at Silver Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month.
