There are plenty of people from Springfield here at Shaft Pond, and Northfield Inn And Suites is a great place to get some       rest. Shaft Pond is a good spot of typical rainfall; most of the rain falls all through May; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Shaft Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Springfield KOA is a great local campground, and Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. So much entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Shaft Pond, just phenomenal. Through the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the                  80's at Shaft Pond. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's.
