The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Shabbona Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Shabbona Lake is beautiful, and if you came for an overnight stay Smith's Stone House Park is a great spot to camp. The yearly rainfall here at Shabbona Lake is about average; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Rolling Oaks Camp Ground
 | 16 miles away I had the best time at rolling oaks campground on July 8th through July the 14th, and plan on going back in about a week to spend some more time up there with my boyfriend before the summer ends. It's a beautiful place to be, especially at night time with a camp fire going, and just the two of us sitting there under the stars cuddled up together.... |
