Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Zion, IL is a perfect location to get some rest; if you're here, you could also check out beautiful Dead Lake. Summertime at Sand Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime       are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sand Pond. Having a wonderful time at Sand Pond is uncomplicated. A golf course close to Sand Pond is Thunder Hawk Golf Course; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Root River. Runaway Bay is in the vicinity and always wonderful to go to; let's not forget Bull Creek which is a stream that you may run into while here. Sand Pond is splendid                  enough to spend more than a day at, Fox River Recreation is a splendid local campground, and while you're here, you might as well take a look at Kellogg Ravine. Sand Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Pike River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Sand Pond, and what would winter be without some skiing at Wilmot mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
