     Dry warm beds await you at Four Seasons Motel, and Round Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Ridge Campground is a fine local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Round Pond a wet location; most of the rain falls throughout March, and October is when it's the driest. If you need a place to stay Mount Vernon Inn is a magnificent choice; if you came to camp Double M Campground is a splendid site to do that. Going for a  
   hike on the Beaver Trail is always a brilliant adventure; Black Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to explore along the River to River Trail; while you're here, you could also have a look at scenic Long Pond. All the outdoors fun stuff in the neighborhood of Round Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. Through the summer at Round Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the
 
               60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows during the winter for Round Pond tend to be in the 10's.

Big lake is a beautiful lake surrounded by lage cypress trees. In the 1940's and 50's it was called Big Lake resot, several cabins and a lage hotel, kept full duing the season.  Boat rentals and a bait shop and grocery/cafe were also here. Now there ae just a fe cabins left and the hotel is gone, but the memories are still there....

I fished your lake for the first time on May 21 2006. It was a good looking lake for bass fishing, but with the cold whether we had, catching fish was a little more difficult. I plan on coming back and fishing again soon, it was a really nice place to fish. I just hope maybe the moss will not be as bad on my next visit. Maybe a few young grass carp wouldn't hurt !!!...
