Any time is a good time at Redwing Slough Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is a very popular ski area nearby, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. The yearly rain here at Redwing Slough Lake       is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. While you're here at Redwing Slough Lake you can take a hike along the Tamarack View Trail, and Fox River Recreation is a good local campground. You don’t have to go far from Redwing Slough Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at White Lake Dam, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail. This lake                  is so wonderful. Old Port Cove Marina is a good campground nearby, obviously you could also visit Benet Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. While you're here at Redwing Slough Lake you can play some golf at Spring Valley Country Club. The wonderful people of Racine like to hang out close by, and Comfort Inn & Suites Antioch is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Wilmot mountain around here, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pike River. Through the months of summer highs here at Redwing Slough Lake get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
