During the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Pond 38. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Pond 38. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Marion, and unsurprisingly, this is a pleasant neighborhood for people who like lakes, Devils Kitchen Lake is a lake nearby. You think that's sufficient?       Just getting warmed up. An afternoon playing golf at Crab Orchard Golf Club is always a pleasure; if you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Marion is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pond 38 that you need to camp here for a while, Little Grassy Lake Campground & Marina is a perfect place for that, and lots of folks from Marion-Herrin come here. Pond 38 sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is the wettest                  month with most rain; the driest month of the year is January. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pond 33 is close to Pond 38. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Pond 38 has to offer, you can camp at Devils Kitchen Marina and Campground.
