Otter Lake is a tremendous lake in close proximity to Point Lake, and this is a popular place for folks from Jacksonville. An average amount of precipitation falls at Point Lake; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Country Hearth Inn Jacksonville is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and South Campground is a brilliant campground nearby.
