There's so much to do here at Pine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sharp Rock Falls Rec is a brilliant place for that. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Water Lily Campground is a brilliant site to do that, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Pinckneyville is a great choice. From a rain       point of view Pine Lake is a relatively normal location; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. At Pine Lake you always meet someone from Carbondale, and a great close by hotel is Super 8 Du Quoin. For the period of the warm days of summer at Pine Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently                  in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Pine Lake.
