Yeah, come here to Open Pond for a good time. Open Pond is a spot with many visitors from Harrisburg; Comfort Inn Harrisburg is a great site to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Open Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Open Pond are in the 10's. If you come       at the right time of year, Bear Branch offers some great whitewater. Open Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Lakes? Sure, Cottonwood Pond is nearby, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Lusk Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Black Slough if you're here at Open Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Harrisburg. There                  is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of Open Pond called the River to River Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Teal Pond Campground is a fine place to camp.
