This lake is so wonderful. Stevens Creek is a magnificent local stream, and do pop by West Frankfort Reservoir, it's a stunning lake. A pleasant nearby hotel is Days Inn Benton, and Benton Koa Kampground is a splendid local campground. Through the long summer days at Old City Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight       hours it's usually in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Old City Lake. Old City Lake usually gets lots of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whittington Woods Campground is a splendid campground nearby; if you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn - West Frankfort is a fine choice.
