Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express METROPOLIS, and Stafford Bluff can be distinguished from Old Bay. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Metropolis is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the River to River Trail is nice fun. Old Bay is a wet place that gets much rain; the month with most of the rain       is March, and the driest month of the year is January. If you came for an overnight stay Duck Bay Campground is a great site to camp; a lovely lake like Sugar Creek Lake is a great location to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Lusk Creek. The warmest time of the year at Old Bay arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are                  regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Old Bay are in the 10's. So much fun stuff in the vicinity of Old Bay, simply incredible. Cagle Pond is a perfect lake next to Old Bay, and if you come at the right time of year, Bear Branch offers some splendid whitewater.
