There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Four Lakes, and stopping by Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. North Pool is good enough to spend more than a day at, Green River Oaks is a good local campground; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Tamarack View Trail. A brilliant place to camp here at North Pool is E Z Go, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes?

| | Sure, Busse Lake is just a very short distance away. A great forest right next door to North Pool is Busse Forest North; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Schaumburg. For the period of the warmest time of the year at North Pool temperatures are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
