     Illinois has many beautiful lakes and North Pond is one of them. North Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is a glorious local destination here at North Pond, and nearby you hit upon Belmont Harbor. People from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet love to come  
   to North Pond; a lake nearby is South Pond.
If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy North Pond. Belden Stratford Hotel is a delightful place to get some rest, and South Lagoon is a nearby lake that you could pop by. North Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Joy Of The Game is a great local campground, and you should absolutely stop by wonderful Lincoln Park Beach if you're here.

While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen.
