This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at New City Lake Dam close to New City Lake is delightful, and New City Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Benton Koa Kampground is a magnificent local campground. At New City Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into       the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at New City Lake drop into the 20's. The high level of rain makes New City Lake a relatively wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest.
