Camping at Island On The Chain RV Park is always a delightful experience, and during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Racine for sure. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Mud Lake.       Mud Lake is a good spot of normal precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. A perfect place to camp here at Mud Lake is Grass Lake Marina and RV Park; Mud Lake is right by the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious choice, and you'll locate a striking lake called Dunns Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Nippersink                  Creek; why not head up to Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) and strap some skis to your feet. High temperatures at Mud Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Lake. An afternoon playing golf at Fox Lake Country Club is always a diversion, and White River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Mchenry is a great place to get some rest; a pretty lake like Turner Lake is a good site to take a look at.
