Rolling Oaks Camp Ground
 | I had the best time at rolling oaks campground on July 8th through July the 14th, and plan on going back in about a week to spend some more time up there with my boyfriend before the summer ends. It's a beautiful place to be, especially at night time with a camp fire going, and just the two of us sitting there under the stars cuddled up together.... |

In summertime when the sun was shining we swam almost the whole day and when it rained and the only camping spot left in the middle of the night was going downhill,the rain poured through our tent. Even though we went through some definite times of despair, our mother took us to a place where we could feel safe and try and have some joy in life. I remember sitting around the campfire where there were sing-a-longs after the sun went down. Swimming all day, hiking all day in the trails surrounding the campgrounds with new found friends was always a ton of fun. I have lived in Arizona and California since 1983 and I still have a strong desire to bring my children to a place I called home many a terrifying night. I found comfort in the down to earth spirit of Glenwood Farms. I only hope it is as simple and beautiful as I remember it. Betty ... |
