Roemmich's Resort Homes is a splendid campground here, and lots of people from Ottawa-Streator come here. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Mendota. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Lake Mendota fall into the 0's. Lake Mendota is a pleasant site to camp, Mendota       Hills Campground is a pleasant site, and Comfort Inn Mendota is a splendid location to get some rest. Be careful coming to Lake Mendota, you might not ever want to return home again. Very splendid water scenery is available at Lake Mendota Dam close to Lake Mendota, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Vermilion River. Lake Mendota is a good site of common rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is                  the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
